If you have recently bought or sold a home in St. Louis, you have almost certainly heard about radon. The invisible, odorless gas that seeps from soil into basements and crawl spaces is a known lung-cancer risk, and real estate contracts in many parts of Missouri now require a short-term radon test before closing. But what happens after that test comes back high, a mitigation system goes in, and the house is supposedly safe? That is where the radon retest becomes essential.
